Separate writing, interface language and transcription
An app can store Somali text without offering Somali menus. A tool that summarizes an English meeting does not necessarily transcribe Somali speech. Check these capabilities separately before moving your notes.
Qoraal has Somali and English interfaces and accepts notes and task instructions through its connected WhatsApp conversation. It stores voice messages as attachments; it does not automatically capture or transcribe a live meeting. For its available workflows, see Somali notes in Qoraal.
Match the tool to the note
| What you need | Tools to examine |
|---|---|
| Somali notes sent through WhatsApp | Qoraal saves notes and manages tasks through a connected number. Check the saved result and reminder time. |
| Notes alongside Google documents | Google Keep supports notes, lists and shared editing, with an option to export notes to Docs. |
| Structured information for a team | Notion databases organize pages with properties and different views. |
| A record of a spoken meeting | Granola uses meeting audio to enhance notes. Otter offers transcription in its listed languages; Somali is absent from its current list. |
These are documented workflows, not an accuracy ranking. See Qoraal vs Google Keep, Qoraal vs Notion, Qoraal vs Granola and Qoraal vs Otter for the tradeoffs.
Try one ordinary note before moving everything
Use a sample without private information. Write a short note in the Somali you normally use, give it a title, and find it again by a word in the text. Then open it on the other device you use. This checks your actual capture and retrieval workflow without requiring a large import.
If you need a reminder, create a separate task with an explicit date and time. Confirm the displayed time and the destination of the notification. A sentence inside a note is not enough evidence that an alert has been scheduled.
Check what happens after capture
For shared work, try giving a task to a test teammate and checking who may complete it. For personal notes, check the export options before committing a large collection. Qoraal's export guide explains its current export workflow.
The Qoraal app's Chat tab becomes available at 1,000 notes or tasks. That limit matters if you are comparing apps primarily for question answering over a small collection. The connected WhatsApp conversation supports note and task instructions; see the assistant guide.
