Qoraal vs Otter: notes, transcripts and follow-up tasks
Qoraal saves notes and manages tasks through WhatsApp in Somali and English. Otter transcribes conversations in its supported languages. Start by deciding which record you need.
Somali notes are different from Somali audio transcription
You can write Somali notes in Qoraal and use its Somali interface. A voice message can be stored as an attachment. Qoraal does not automatically capture or transcribe a live meeting, so it should not be chosen on that expectation.
Otter's language page currently lists English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese and Chinese (Simplified) for transcription. It does not list Somali. Its ability to translate or answer in other languages through Otter Chat is a separate feature.

When Qoraal fits
Use Qoraal when the useful record is a written decision, a note you want to retrieve, or a task you want to manage through WhatsApp. For shared work, create the group, invite the people involved and confirm who is responsible for each task.
Qoraal's app Chat tab requires 1,000 notes or tasks. Check that limit if your main reason for choosing a notes app is asking questions about a small collection.
When to evaluate a transcription tool
If you need a transcript, confirm the language and recording workflow first. Test whether your own names and terminology survive transcription. This comparison does not provide a transcript-accuracy benchmark or a guarantee for regional accents.
