Decide how to capture the meeting
For a written record, take notes yourself in the tool you already use. If you need automatic capture, evaluate a meeting tool separately. Granola describes combining your written notes with meeting audio. Otter provides transcription for its supported languages. Neither description proves that a particular Somali conversation will be transcribed accurately.
Qoraal is useful for saving written decisions and following up through WhatsApp. It does not automatically record a meeting, and sending it a voice attachment does not promise a transcript. The Granola comparison and Otter comparison explain this distinction.
Write down the decision before creating the task
Keep the reason for the decision in a note. Then create a task that says what someone must do. For example, an illustrative meeting note might say, "We will ask for two delivery quotes." The follow-up task could be "Request two delivery quotes", assigned to the person responsible with an agreed deadline.
That example is a workflow suggestion, not a customer result. Use the names and dates your team actually agreed. Check them against the meeting record instead of treating an AI summary as the final authority.
Move the action into Qoraal
- Save the written decision in a note, with a title that identifies the meeting or subject.
- Create the follow-up task with an explicit date and time. Check Qoraal's saved result.
- For shared work, put it in the appropriate group and choose the responsible person.
- Confirm that the person has joined and connected WhatsApp before expecting reminders there.
- Review the task list after the deadline and record completion on the task.
This is a manual handoff. This article does not describe an automatic integration between Qoraal and Granola or Otter.
Use task names that survive the next conversation
A title such as "Request two delivery quotes" remains understandable after the meeting. A title such as "Do that" depends on remembering the chat around it. Qoraal can finish tasks by name, so a distinct title also reduces ambiguity when replying through WhatsApp.
In Qoraal, a person can finish a task they created or one assigned to them. If a reply matches more than one task, the assistant asks which one. Read the shared-task guide before setting up your team's workflow.
