Do I need to install an app to use Qoraal?
No. Qoraal runs in your browser and can be added to your home screen, but you can use it entirely from WhatsApp. Sending a message to Qoraal's number saves a note or adds a task without opening anything.
How do I get reminders on WhatsApp?
Save your phone number in Settings, then WhatsApp, and confirm it from that same phone. Once it is confirmed, reminders, assignments and group updates arrive as WhatsApp messages. Without a confirmed number Qoraal cannot reach you at all.
Does Qoraal work in Somali?
Yes. The whole interface is available in Somali, and the assistant understands and replies in Somali, including Somali dates such as beri and maanta.
Can I share a list with my team?
Yes. In the Work tab you create a group, invite people by email or by a WhatsApp code, and give tasks to named people. Each person chooses whether that group sends them WhatsApp updates.
Do repeating tasks come back on their own?
Yes. When you finish a repeating task, the next one is created straight away with the same owner, the same reminder spacing and its checklist reset.
What happens if I lose my phone?
Your notes and tasks are stored on the server, not on the phone, so signing in on another device brings everything back. Sign in with the same email or Google account.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. Settings, then Your data, then Download my data gives you a file containing your notes, tasks, groups, labels and settings.
Is Qoraal free?
Qoraal is free to use today. If that ever changes, existing users will be told before it does.
How do I delete my account?
Email privacy@qoraal.com or message +252615801175 on WhatsApp and ask for your account to be deleted. Your notes, tasks, files and messages are removed.
What can I send to Qoraal on WhatsApp?
Text, photos, documents and voice messages. A message with a job and a time becomes a task with a reminder; anything else becomes a note. You can also ask questions such as "what do I have today?".
How do I finish a task from WhatsApp?
Reply "done" or "dhamee" followed by the task's name, for example "done rent". If two tasks match, Qoraal asks which one.
How do I stop Qoraal's WhatsApp messages?
Reply STOP or JOOJI. Reply START or BILOW to turn them back on.
Does Qoraal understand the Somali clock?
Yes. At night, 6 to 11 are read on the ordinary clock, so "8 habeenimo" is 20:00, and 1 to 5 on the Somali clock, so "saddex caawa" is 21:00.
What if my phone has no internet when a reminder is due?
When SMS backup is switched on, a reminder that WhatsApp has not delivered within about five minutes is sent again as an SMS.
Can I use Qoraal on a computer?
Yes. Open qoraal.com in any browser and sign in with the same email or Google account.
