Qoraal is built on the belief that you own your work and your identity. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it. We keep it simple: we collect only what is necessary to run the service.
What We Collect
- Email address — used to sign you in via a one-time code. We do not store passwords.
- Profile data — your name, job title, bio, location, work history, education, skills, projects, and links. This is the information you choose to add to your public profile.
- IP address — logged temporarily to prevent abuse (such as brute-force attacks and spam). These are not linked to your identity and expire automatically.
- Session data — a secure, HTTP-only cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 14 days. We store only a random token, not your email, in the cookie itself.
What We Do Not Collect
- We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
- We do not sell your data to anyone.
- We do not collect payment information — the service is free.
- We do not read your private messages — there are none.
How We Use Your Data
- To authenticate you when you sign in.
- To display your public profile at
qoraal.com/username. - To protect the service from abuse.
Public Profiles
Your profile page at qoraal.com/username is public by default. It is indexed by search engines and AI crawlers. If you want to remove your profile, sign in and delete your account from the dashboard.
Data Retention
Your profile and session data are stored until you delete your account. Rate-limiting data (IP-based) expires automatically within one hour. OTP codes expire within 10 minutes.
Third-Party Services
We use Cloudflare to host the service (including Cloudflare Pages and Cloudflare KV). Cloudflare processes requests and may log standard access data. We use Resend to deliver sign-in emails. Your email address is passed to Resend only to deliver that specific email.
Your Rights
You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard. This removes your profile and all associated data. For any other requests, contact us at [email protected].
Changes
If we make significant changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service means you accept the updated policy.
