How WhatsApp reminders work in Qoraal
- Sign in at qoraal.com with your email or Google account and confirm your WhatsApp number in Settings.
- Send a message to Qoraal on WhatsApp at +252 61 185 8006 saying what to remember and when.
- Qoraal replies to confirm the task and the time. If you did not give a time, Qoraal asks "Waqtigee?" (what time?).
- At the time you chose, the reminder arrives as a WhatsApp message. Replying "done" or "dhamee" finishes the task.

Repeating reminders
Qoraal supports six repeat patterns: daily, weekdays, weekly, every two weeks, monthly and yearly. When a repeating reminder is sent, the next one is created straight away, so a daily reminder keeps coming even if you never open the app.
When WhatsApp does not get through
A phone with no data connection never receives a WhatsApp message. When SMS backup is switched on, Qoraal watches each reminder: if WhatsApp has not confirmed delivery to the phone within about five minutes, Qoraal sends the reminder again as an ordinary text message (SMS).
Reminders for a team
A task given to someone in a shared group reminds that person, on their own WhatsApp, at the task's time. If the work goes past its due date, Qoraal sends one follow-up nudge. Each person decides whether a group may message them.
